To Be Honest

Almost forgot to say, John . . . ANYTHING is possible!

American Tour Dates

`Am "crushed" - no Chicago date(s)? Haven't promoted any sort of musical show in years, but if that's what it takes . . . Anyone out there know what Paul's performance fee is & who to contact to set something up? And finally - who is doing the poor man's booking? The Marquis de Sade? I certainly hope Paul's appearances in all these places are not full concerts, especially considering the distances to be traveled and the closeness of the dates. Good grief!

American Tour Dates

I am also very sad that Paul could not make it to the upper midwest. Why not one show in Chicago or Saint Louis? I am in Minneapolis and am thinking that if they don't book him in Chicago, we don't have an icicle's chance in hades of getting him here. I think Paul is much more popular than his management has planned for.

I hope he makes it our way soon. It would be worth the trip to Chicago or Saint Louis for a show!

I think Paul Potts is

I think Paul Potts is capable of selling out all shows in all cities, especially when he's mainly doing smaller size venues. I think he's limiting himself because he simply cannot cover them all. I just hope that he doesn't have to get back to his old job and sing professionally.

Hi, To be honest, Paul Potts

Hi
To be honest, Paul Potts is not a big fish.
He usually plays at shopping malls and other small venues.
When he goes to places like NY, he carries his own luggage.
It's kind of sad if you ask me.
If you work in the industry, you may have some chance to actually book Paul Potts in Chicago... who knows??
It will be cool if that's possible. :)

To Be Honest . . .

Hi, John . . .

I'd be interested in knowing the number of hits that YouTube audition video generated here Stateside. From what friends tell me, the CD has charted well here. To answer your question, I no longer work "in the industry" - deciding sanity was the better option. Query: Does buying 20 copies of "One Chance" for Xmas gifts disqualify me from claiming sanity?
There are actually hundreds, if not thousands, of places Stateside which would suit Paul Potts. Most colleges/universities/junior colleges have their own well-equipped theatres, high quality as to staffing and the talent they present. Colleges here may even have their own booking agents & others who package acts together for a wonderful evening of entertainment. While they qualify as "small venues," they are certainly not shopping malls. Don't be too sad for Paul, John. He's simply paying his dues. While it might seem he's already done that, there is always this flurry of "world tours/shopping malls/gas station openings" to herald a new performer - makes no difference to the record company and/or the act's management if that performer is singing opera or rock and roll.

Now that I've seen the schedule for Britain, I'm convinced his agents are trying to kill him (just joking, but half serious, I think). From an American viewpoint (mine, anyway), Paul Potts has that special something that can't really be defined. He has the talent and the ability to take his career to more sophisticated levels if he works at it, though, personally, I love the timbre of his voice as it is now. If he stays true to himself as a person and a man, he'll be "around" successfully as long as he cares to be. Best, Carole Scott Socha (Nearthewoods)

he he...

He he... I believe Paul Potts is very popular in the US right now. If you look at the numbers only, there may be more fans than in The US than in The UK.

Yes. Paul Potts can easily have bigger shows at The US university theaters compared to the shopping centers in Mexico or Canada. Also, I believe the US universities would love to book Paul Potts.

But, I'm not an expert on that area so
Hm.. we'll see.

Whatever it is, it is fun to watch the story unfolding.
