I received mine August 6
It's my very first (and so far, only) opera CD.
I don't know which I love more...Paul's glorious voice, or the fact that this humble, unassuming man, who could be my next-door neighbor, is EXACTLY the kind of person who deserves to have every ounce of success that is possible from his discovery.
I, too, was at first unimpressed. My husband sent me the UTube video back in June, and my first impression was, okay, this british guy is going to sing opera...yeah, right. Then he OPENED HIS MOUTH! Within minutes, I was in tears, and totally enthralled, and I KNEW that if Paul Potts came out with a cd, I was buying it.
Thank you, Paul. Thank you for bringing the beauty of opera (and your voice!) to a common person like me. You truly ARE blessed, and so are all of us who have the privilege to hear you!
(Btw, I know NO Italian, but I can now sing a few words along with Paul when I'm playing his cd in my car!) My personal favorites: Ama Pola, and Music of the Night.
