What does a former rock and roll tour manager say about a classical tenor who won a reality show (the first Britain's Got Talent ) in 2007?

In the two years since his victory on that show, Paul Potts has rounded the globe six times, sold almost four million copies of his first CD, "One Chance," won the German equivalent of a Grammy, been the toast of Europe, the Far East, Australia, New Zealand & Canada ("One Chance" being certified platinum many times over in all those countries), embarked on a seemingly endless tour, sang for the Queen of England, and managed to fit in appearances on Ellen, Oprah & countless television gigs across the world.

In the midst of it all, Paul Potts has managed to record a second album, the beautiful, well-crafted "Passione", and embarked on his new tour and seventh circumnavigation of Planet Earth.

When he landed at the Rosemont Theatre July 20th, the assemblage paid homage to the British tenor - loudly and fervently.

The show, a generous two and a half hours long, revealed how hard Paul Potts has worked these last two years since the victory on BGT. On the surface at least, he appears to be supremely confident in his vocal abilities, without losing the everyman appeal with which he began.

Theresa and William, 47 & 51, civil servants, Restalrig: "We enjoyed everything from the Spanish opening number onwards. It was particularly good to hear Tristesse, based on a Chopin piano piece. Paul Potts seems to be an unassuming sort of person who goes down well with audiences."

Feelings from Paul's perfomance in Madrid

An amazing place, worthy of a fairy-tale; in company of two marvellous people and a fantastic selection of songs, has been the perfect combination for an unforgettable night that I will hardly forget. This will be, for sure, the best evening of my life.

Paul Potts has been in Spain. He came to Madrid. And I’ve been with him. I could finally listen to his voice live, singing a few songs from his new album (La Prima Volta, E Lucevan Le Stelle, Tristesse and Piano), and making me fly away in a magical dream and bring me down to tears with those wonderful words that changed my life for ever: TRAMONTATE STELLE … ALL'ALBA VINCERÓ, because he ended his mini concert singing the song that has made him famous in the hall globe, Nessun Dorma.

What can I say… Ain’t got words at all… If you can get excited just watching him performing on a You Tube video or listening to his fabulous CDS, live the emotion turns into shake. Yes, ladies and gents, I trembled. The mixture of emotions was such that now, at only a few hours of distance of his performance, I do not know how to describe what you can manage to feel when you listen to this voice live. Paul Potts caresses my soul each and every time that I listen to him… but yesterday… yesterday HE REALLY TOUCHED MY SOUL. But not just mine. He touched the soul of each and every person that was there in the Casino de Madrid listening to his performance. And thins remained clear with the fabulous STANDING OVAZIONE that he received after his performance. The plaudit would never end. The BRAVO BRAVO that flew were endless. The most amazing thing was to see how Paul was getting excited and his eyes were flooded with tears during the above mentioned moment.

Later we had the opportunity to meet him, shake his hand, which was signing the CDS, photos and anything that one had to hand. My mother seized the opportunity to plant a sonorous kiss on Paul's cheek who reddened and thrilled once again. Also I had the opportunity to give him a little gift that my mother and I had prepared for him with all our love: a small grand piano carved in wood with a golden plate in which you can read these words on it: Dall’ Italia con amore. Dalla Spagna con Passione. Maxi e Lena.

I remained speechless when I introduced my self and said to him something like "Hello Paul, my name Maxi, your fan n º 1 in Spain, member of Paul Potts MySpace Family”.

While he was signing my Passione CD, he lifted his eyes and watching me he said, "So, you are Max"

I answered surprised “Yeap! That’s me! Do you know me?”

He smiled and said to me among laughs in SPANISH, with his unmistakable and beautiful accent "UN POQUITO" (just a little)

What a great honor, my dear friends!

What can I say about Paul that hasn’t been said yet… He’s a beautiful being. And I mean it. He is a good man, he is human, he is humble, he is nearby … Paul Potts is an Angel!!!

He’s got a golden aura and it wrapped us all. If I can affirm that I am a fan of Paul since last year, from yesterday on, I affirm that I love Paul.

I am very happy and satisfied to have been able to meet this great artist; to have met this great person; this being of light who illuminated my life one year ago with a phrase that I will never be able to forget: TRAMONTATE STELLE … ALL' ALBA VINCERÓ!!
